Extraction method : steam distillation

Clove oil is usually extracted by steam distillation from the leaves, stems and buds of the Eugenia caryophyllata tree, which is native to Indonesia and the Malacca Islands. This is a powerful oil with a warm, strong, pungent odor and should be used very diluted and with great caution in aromatherapy.

Clove essential oil can be used to heal or soothe acne, bruises, cuts and burns, leg wounds, and as a pain reliever for rheumatism and arthritis. It is also said to be good for the digestive system, helping with vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, spasms, and parasites.
