Niaouli essential oil is not the best-smelling essential oil. What it lacks in aromatic appeal, however, it makes up for in its therapeutic benefits. It is an excellent choice for respiratory problems, skin infections, and acne.

Aromatically, Niaouli essential oil is generally not considered a pleasant essential oil. The aroma is camphoraceous, earthy, and somewhat harsh. It's never a good idea to form an opinion about the aroma of an essential oil by simply smelling it directly from the bottle. The analgesic property of this oil makes it a very good pain reliever. It eliminates pain by inducing numbness in the nerves and desensitizing the area. It is very effective in relieving headaches, migraines, toothaches, earaches, and muscle and joint pains, as well as pain caused by sprains.

This oil stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation, preventing the accumulation of uric acid in the joints and providing warmth to various parts of the body. These two factors together help relieve rheumatism, arthritis, and gout.

Niaouli essential oil, thanks to its antiseptic properties, can inhibit bacterial growth and offers good protection against sepsis, tetanus, and infections of other internal organs.
