The presence of camphor and camphene in this essential oil gives it antifungal properties. This oil is capable of inhibiting fungal infections, both internally and externally, and relieves fungal infections such as dysentery, skin diseases, athlete's foot or dermatitis. This property is one of the reasons behind its use in skincare products.

Sage essential oil aids digestion, calms the stomach and improves the functionality of the entire digestive system against inflammation caused by excess acids. It also neutralizes acids in the stomach and bloodstream, providing relief from heartburn and acidosis, which in turn protects us from peptic ulcers due to heartburn, as well as boils, rashes and skin diseases that occur when acid levels rise in the blood.
