Vetiver essential oil, also called khus oil, is extracted from the vetiver plant, a green, uneven herb from India that can grow a meter or more in height.

 Vetiver oil is quite fragrant, with a distinct strong and earthy aroma that you might recognize from men's cologne. The calming and refreshing effects of vetiver essential oil soothe and pacify all types of inflammation. It is particularly good at providing relief from inflammation in the circulatory and nervous systems.

 Vetiver essential oil is a well-known sedative. It soothes nervous irritations, afflictions, convulsions, and emotional outbursts such as anger, anxiety, epileptic and hysterical attacks, restlessness, and nervousness. It even benefits patients suffering from insomnia.

 Vetiver essential oil helps heal wounds by promoting the growth of new tissue in injured areas and also by keeping it safe from infections, inhibiting the growth of microbes.
